Chasquis – Eco-Messengers of Love

chasquis-messengers
In the Inca empire, chasquis were known as the messengers who communicated and contacted people from one town with another one. They were very skilled and strong people who walked for days to carry the most important news around. The WCP takes this term from the amauta wisdom, to denote the members who continually broadcast the awareness message to different places. In this way Chasqui means: Eco – Messenger of Love.

“We are two people in awareness who live as a couple. we try to encourage small actions, that with time, may become great revolutions. We live without intoxication, nor take any drug. We sing songs with I.R.A. Punk about consciousness, some deal with themes related to the environment, animal care, simple life and awareness. We practice vegetarianism, we live in a cold mountain, sharing many of our time with trees and birds, breathing clean air, speaking with spiders, lizards and mice. We do not think ourselves as saviors of the planet, we do all of this for own conviction, by we try to live quiet in this difficult world, because in these 30 years on the road with the Punk culture, we have learned many good things for humanity and the way they live and relate to the land. We breathe happiness and invite everybody to BECOMING AWARE to live among the billions who inhabit this land and we’re a little crazy for so many things. “
